The Rev. Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, took to his Facebook account to urge prayers for the victims.
"Join me in praying for the families of the two children who were killed in a shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN, today, and the 17 people injured, 14 of whom are children," stated Graham.
"May the Lord wrap His loving arms around all those who are hurting in this community and comfort them."
As of Thursday afternoon, the Graham post had garnered around 40,000 reactions, over 1,600 shares and approximately 8,700 comments.
