'Agent Carter' Season 2 News, Update: ABC Unveils Plot Summary, Show Set in Post-War Hollywood

Fans are already excited for the return of the hit crime-fighting TV drama series "Agent Carter" for its second season. Here are some meaty details we've recently heard about the show.

ABC and Marvel recently released plot synopsis for the second chapter of Peggy's (Hayley Atwell) action-packed clandestine adventures, which will now take place in Hollywood.

"Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet," the press release reads. "But even as she discovers new friends, a new home -- and perhaps even a new love -- she's about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect."

The statement from ABC however failed to mention the people who will be returning with Atwell. It remains to be found out if Dominic Cooper, who played Howard Stark, James D' Arcy as Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray as Agent Thompson will join the actress in the second season.

Screen Rant meanwhile sounded off their speculations on the casting saying that Cooper's Stark and Arcy's Jarvis could still play essential roles in the development of the forthcoming chapter. However, the inclusion of new characters, situations, and perhaps "a compelling love interest" could make "Agent Carter" Season 2 even better in the small screen.

"Agent Carter" Season 2 is expected to air during "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." hiatus later this year.
