'American Horror Story: Hotel' release date, plot news: Lady Gaga throws a party

The return of "American Horror Story" could not come any sooner that even Lady Gaga herself enjoyed a cast party that had a horror theme. Also, there were teasers recently released showing Lady Gaga in her upcoming role.

Lady Gaga will be participating in the fifth season of the hit series American Horror Story. It was confirmed by creator of the show Ryan Murphy that Lady Gaga will be taking on the role of a rich countess named Elizabeth, playing the season's villain.

The singer recently threw a party with her American Horror Story cast and crew that featured a pool of blood. She posted a few photos of the party on her Instagram, with the caption, "A party fit for a thespian." It featured theatrical dresses, statues, and red roses. However, she did not reveal too much about how it went. With that, she said, "A bloody pool for the cast, sorry #AHSfans, there's few pictures. At my parties, killer friends have more fun, when no evidence is left behind."

The cast and crew raved about the party. Murphy tweeted, "Last night I had a dream that the HOTEL cast went to Gaga's house and at midnight swam in her pool that she had dyed blood red for us." His tweet was followed by Sarah Paulson's reply that read, "WAIT. I HAD THE SAME DREAM…"

The upcoming series is expected to be a reinvention of the first one, promising a new vibe on the next season. It was stated that it will be inspired by the screwball musical that happened in 1985. Other sources also explained that the season took ideas from the 2013 viral video of a disappearance at the Cecil Hotel. FOX also released a few teasers featuring Lady Gaga in her role as the owner of a hotel in Los Angeles.

American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere on Oct. 7.
