'American Horror Story' Season 4 Spoilers, News: 'Freak Show' to Take a Bow, New Season to Be 'Very Different'

The end is finally near for the fourth season of the hit horror-thriller TV series "American Horror Story" and its finale is aptly called "Curtain Call."

Two promo stills for the final "Freak Show" episode which will give viewers some hints on what to expect when it hits the small screen tonight. Although the images are primarily focused to feature the ringleader Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange), it does offer details on what drama lies ahead.

In one of the pictures, Elsa appears to be shocked by what she'd seen. Does it suggest that something unfortunate has befallen on her? Meanwhile, in the other photo, she looked rather happy.

A short segment description was provided by the Futon Critic and it reads:

"The Freaks rebel against new management. Dandy prepares for his debut performance. Elsa arrives in Tinseltown."

Now that the Show is already closing, fans have also been wondering what the next AHS will give them.

FX Network's CEO John Landgraf spoke during the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Sunday.

During the event he revealed some details on the theme for the next AHS season. He hinted that the fifth chapter will be "very different."

"I think there's going to be an unusually large reinvention in between Book 4 and Book 5 relative to, say, between Book 3 [Coven] and 4 [Freak Show]," Landgraf said.

Another major hint can also be taken from an episode of "Freak Show."

"It's an arcane clue, but it's very purposeful," Landgraf refers to a top hat on a coffee cup.

For the meantime, "American Horror Story" Season 4 finale episode airs this Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 10 p.m. on FX.
