Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner Breakup Rumors False

Rumors suggested last week that Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner were no longer in a relationship. However according to new reports, those rumors appear to be false.

Pictures taken over the weekend of the musician, 27, and former reality star, 28, at an Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills, were recently published by People magazine.

"They had drinks on the patio and moved inside for dinner," the witness reported to People. "They were kissing and cuddling and were very affectionate. They definitely didn't look broken-up."

Even before the pictures were released, rumors about the couple seemed doubtful after both Lavigne and Brody took to Twitter. "Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart," Jenner Tweeted shortly after the supposed breakup. "I love her." Lavigne responded to the tweet with "luv u 2!!!"

Pop-punk singer, Avril Lavigne, became famous at the age of 17 when she released her debut album "Let Go" with its number one single "Complicated." Her and reality star Brody Jenner, who became famous for dating Lauren Conrad on "The Hills," began dating in 2009. In 2010, Lavigne and Brody purchased tattoos with each other's names as a mark of their devotion to one another.

The break up was originally leaked by Life & Style magazine, which suggested that Lavigne was ready to settle down.

"It wasn't working out and they wanted to go their separate ways," a source reported to the magazine. Varying reasons behind the breakup have surfaced. Some have said that the breakup was due to different views on marriage.

Another source attributed the break up to a conflict with Brody Jenner's career. "Every time he wanted to come back and take meetings to get his career back in order, she would make him go to Asia and Europe."
