'Batman: Arkham Knight' Summary, Voice Cast Revealed, Who Is Batgirl?
Rocksteady's highly-anticipated action-adventure video game "Batman: Arkham Knight" is said to conclude the studio's Dark Knight game title trilogy.
During the Arkham Knight, the titular superhero has already defeated the Joker (Arkham Asylum) and has taken on Hugo Strange (Arkham City) which left him in an ill condition. This time around, he will face yet another mysterious new foe, a mechanized and a deadlier version of him who bears the mark of "A" on his chest plate. Reports indicated that the character was specifically made and added into the game's lore.
A report from Screen Rant meanwhile revealed the actors behind the voices of the upcoming game. According to the website, Kevin Conroy, who has been in the first two games, will be back as Batman.
Joining him is Tara Strong who voiced as Harley Quinn. There's also Nolan North who will voice-act as The Penguin and Troy Baker as the Two-Face.
New addition to the casting list is Jonathan Banks from AMC's "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" as Commissioner James Gordon. Twilight Saga star Ashley Green will be Barbara Gordon while John Noble of "Sleepy Hollow" and "Fringe" will be Scarecrow. Scott Porter ("Hart of Dixie") meanwhile is Nightwing.
It remains to be revealed as to who is the voice behind Batman's new nemesis.
In related news, the game's upcoming DLC content is expected to offer new and exciting extra-gameplays.
The expansion, which will be part of the Arkham Knight's DLC Pass, is called "A Matter of Family" which will let players take on the role of Batgirl. Fans, meanwhile, have been wondering as to who is the person behind the mask.
A report from Gamespot cited game director Sefton Hill going over his social media to confirm Batgirl's identity.
"As a few of you have asked about the DLC, 'who is Batgirl?' I can confirm it is indeed Barbara Gordon," Hill's Twitter post reads.
As already pointed out, Barbara is the daughter of Gotham's fearless police commissioner James Gordon.
"Batman: Arkham Knight" is slated to arrive for new-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as on PC, this June 23.
