Beyonce First Mother's Day Plans: Singer 'Excited' to Celebrate
Beyonce Knowles is preparing to celebrate her first Mother's Day on May 13th, and her mother Tina recently spoke about her plans.
"[We're] all going to be together. We're excited because it's Beyonce's first Mother's Day!" Tina gushed to Us Magazine.
"I'm hoping to cook! I want to cook. My traditional soul food and maybe gumbo. That's my favorite dish!" she added.
Beyonce, 31, fueled speculation that she and husband Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter are trying for a second child at the 2012 Met Gala where she spoke about the possibility of her 4-month-old baby Blue Ivy having siblings.
"I definitely want to have more [children]! I don't know how many. God knows I don't know yet," Beyonce told E!
Last month it was reported that Beyonce and Jay-Z decided that they are ready to have a second child while celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary on April 4, according to Star Magazine.
"They see no reason to wait. It took them a while to conceive Blue Ivy, so they don't want to waste another second," an insider told Star.
Jay-Z, who is a renowned hip-hop mogul, is usually private about his personal life, but the 42-year-old recently opened up about the issues of parenthood in a special edition of "Oprah's Master Class," which recently aired on the OWN network.
"I imagine I'll take things I learned from my mom and things I've learned from raising my nephews and apply that. Then at the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst, spoiled little kid ever," Jay-Z said on "Oprah's Master Class" program.
Jay-Z, who welcomed the birth of his daughter on January 7, is prepared for the challenges that he and Beyonce may face as Blue Ivy grows older.
"Everyone imagines they'll be a great dad until their [children are] teenagers. [They say], 'Get away from me, Dad. You're embarrassing me!'" he said.
