Blind Mother's First Sight Ever is Her Newborn Baby -- #MakeBlindnessHistory
This #MakeBlindnessHistory project was created so that people who are legally blind can "see" using specialized glasses. These glasses are made by eSight. This mother was finally able to see, and the first thing she laid eyes on was her beautiful child.
Yvonne Felix was one of the first people in the world to wear the glasses. She has tested them out and given a positive reaction. The one problem she had, was that they were extremely expensive. She feels that all people should have access to this amazing technology. Her sister, Kathy Beitz, is featured in the video and is legally blind. As she prepared to give birth to her child, Kathy wanted to witness this moment as it happened.
#MakeBlindnessHistory allowed this moment to become reality, as well as get the opportunity to see her child grow. She is the first recipient and will not be the last.
