On Jan. 6, Christian hip-hop artist Tedashii tweeted, “My father, uncles, cousins, & ancestors fought in our military to defend this country so we wouldn’t have to endure things like what I’m seeing today. How dare they dishonor their efforts and our military?! Sad! These thugs need to be squashed now!”
He later urged his followers to “take a mental health day,” adding: “Praying this morning to the God and Savior of the world who can empathize with my hurt and understands my pain. He’s able to do the same for you.”
