'Daredevil' Season 2 News, Update: Twitter Image Post Hints the Coming of Melvin Potter's Gladiator

The second season of Netflix's hit web streaming series "Daredevil" is currently in production. New information, like casting and plot details, emerged over the past weeks suggesting that the upcoming chapter will be focusing more on the new characters coming over to New York City's Hell's Kitchen.

Among the noteworthy additions to the show include Frank Castle/ The Punisher who is played by "The Walking Dead" actor Jon Bernthal. Season 2 will also see the arrival of Elektra Natchios, whose role is being headlined by "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" actress Elodie Yung. Fans are already excited to find out how these two interesting individuals will interact with Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

And just recently, a new rumor surfaced and it points out to the introduction of another Daredevil comic book villain. The show's official Twitter account where an image post was shared and captioned:

"I gotta be good. So I make things. I'm good at making things. #Daredevil"

Followers of the series may already know that the caption refers to Melvin Potter (played by Matt Gerald). It is speculated that the character will appear as his counter-part, Gladiator, in Season 2.

Season 1 saw Potter's involvement in the evolution of the Man Without Fear. Promised by Murdock with protection, Melvin agrees to create him the brand new, signature scarlet red-colored armor.

The development on their collaboration remains to be found out by the viewers. In the comics, Melvin's alter ego is often in conflict with the titular hero. ScreenRant said that with Gerald reprising the role in the upcoming season, it means that their interaction will further be explored.

"Daredevil" Season 2 begins streaming in 2016.
