'Doctor Who' Comic-Con 2015 Event: Panelists Tease Missy's Introduction and A Female Doctor

The cast and crew of BBC One's hugely-popular TV drama series "Doctor Who" arrived at the Comic Con 2015 to dish some details about the upcoming 9th season of the show.

Among the panelists present are Peter Capaldi (as the 12th Doctor), Jenna Coleman (as Clara Oswald), executive producer Steven Moffat and newcomer Michelle Gomez (as The Mistress).

Right over at TV Line, it was found out that Missy's return is "not something you'd predict." Moffat told the audience on Thursday that "it's very, very different."

Gomez chimed in to say that "there's something slightly different to her." As with her relationship to the Doctor, the actress said that "it's kind of like the best friend that you love to hate."

"This great friendship that just went wrong. It's her life's purpose to chase the Doctor and make him realize that 'No, you started it. I'm right,'" Gomez said.

When the panel was asked by an audience member if there could be any possibility for a female incarnate of the Time Doctor, this is what the members have to say:

"I'm sure it will happen at some point. I think it's just about casting the right actor," said Coleman.

Moffat's answer, meanwhile, is a bit suggestive.

"My opinion is fairly obvious from the show. I think I've expressed myself about this as clearly as you could … some people are not reading the subtext, because it's too subtle," the executive producer said.

The Time Lord actor himself, joined the thread and dropped his humorous answer.

"I should do a drag episode. The Doctor's sister should appear," Capaldi said.

"Doctor Who" Season 9 premieres on BBC this Fall 2015.
