Evangelical Press, Associated Church Press Hold Joint Convention

Members of the Evangelical Press Association and the Associated Church Press will be gathering this week for the first time in more than two decades.

Starting Wednesday, the two organizations will hold their annual conventions concurrently in Indianapolis, the same city where they had first met back in 1988.

And among the diverse mix will be noted pollster George Barna and religion writer Gustav Niebuhr, whose works have been published by the New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal, among others.

Founded in 1916, the Associated Church Press is the oldest interdenominational religious press association in North America.

The Evangelical Press Association, meanwhile, is world's largest professional organization for the evangelical periodical publishing industry.

The joint convention concludes Friday.
