Fisherman Catches Goblin Shark and It's as Creepy as It Sounds - See This Rare Sea Creature for Yourself (PHOTO)

Captain Carl Moore was fishing about 10 miles off the coast of Key West in mid-April when he pulled up a haul of shrimp and a rare goblin shark, a deep-sea creature that's as horrifying as it sounds. NBC News describes the goblin shark as having a "flat, elongated snout" and "razor-sharp teeth resembling the creatures in sci-fi film, 'Alien.'"

Goblin sharks normally grow up to 13 feet, though Moore's catch was around 18 feet. However, he didn't bother to measure as the shark and its "mean-looking teeth" flailed around.

The Georgia-based fisherman had no interest in eating or keeping the animal and released it back into the water.
