'Five Nights At Freddy's World' News: Game Released Ahead Of Original Release Date, But Maybe Too Soon?

While it is always good news that a game gets released ahead of its original date of release, in the case of "Five Nights at Freddy's World," it is not the case. According to a report in Polygon, although the game was released ahead of its February 19 release date, the game's creator admitted that he may have done so too early, as there are some gameplay features that are not complete.

Scott Cawthon, the one who created the franchise, wrote on the game's Steam Community page, saying that the game lacks "basic gameplay elements" because of its early release.

He said: ""There are a lot of features that this game should have had before release, features that I was told about, but ignored and didn't implement." These included features such as seeing what abilities do during battle, or seeing your characters' stats page, which are important in any role-playing game.

His reason for the early release is his apparent eagerness to share the game with its fans. He however promised to bring fixes to the current version by providing an update to the game soon, particularly in "the coming weeks."

Despite its incompleteness, the game is still getting somewhat positive reviews on Steam, according to the report. Most users however do not want to recommend the game to others because of its incompleteness.

Another report in Game Rant however said that fans of the game were united in expressing their disappointment of the game, saying that its gameplay was simple and its visuals were rough. Most of what the community said were taken into consideration by Cawthon.

The game was released on January 21, which surprised many fans. This was also the same tactic that Cawthon used with his previous titles.

The role-playing game is still available on Steam for $9.99.
