Child star Honey Boo Boo has apparently tired of receiving such extraordinary amounts of publicity. Twice, the seven year old has feigned sleep in attempts to avoid being questioned.
Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo, appeared last week on the Jimmy Kimmel show, apparently antsy and eager to leave. She resisted questioning for the most part, although Kimmel persuaded her to name who she was endorsing in the elections. The 7-year-old announced that she was supporting "Marack Obama."
But for the most part, the child star seemed restless and at some point put her head on her arm to take a nap. Kimmel however, was not to blame, as Thompson threw a similar fit during her appearance on Dr. Drew.
When Drew attempted to ask Honey Boo Boo questions, she wriggled, yawned on stage, and groaned in response.
"Is it difficult to be on TV?" Dr. Drew asked, to which Thompson responded with closed eyes and a fake snore.
"Is there something exciting you'd like to talk about?" Dr. Drew added, attempting to change course. But Honey Boo Boo only got closer to the doctor's face, keeping her eyes closed and continuing to snore.
After her mother cautioned her to "get up so we can get this thing over with and leave," Thompson responded by swatting at both her mother and Dr. Drew.
"Do you like being on TV?" June Thompson asked, repeating the doctor's question.
"No!" Honey Boo Boo responded. When asked why she replied "because people come up to me and I hate it."
The incident on Dr. Drew's show was one of many that composed the 7-year-old's West Coast tour. She also made a vist with TMZ, Access Hollywood, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Some fans accused the little girl of being rude, while other sympathized with the fact that she had probably tired of doing so many television appearances.
