iPhone 6 Price Without Contract, With Contract on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon

It's already been a few days since the iPhone 6 was made publicly available in retail stores and Apple is already breaking world records. Still, with the thought of purchasing your very own iPhone 6, decisions come to mind. The newest iPhone can be bought without a contract and sim-unlocked but it will invariably cost more than if bought from a wireless carrier under a contract. So how much does the iPhone 6 cost?

Apple offers the two iPhone 6 variants with and without a contract and they allow customers to choose what color finish it will have, as well as how much storage it will have. Once a customer decides to buy an iPhone 6 off of Apple, the site will take users to a page where one can choose which variant (iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus), a finish, a wireless carrier (or users can opt to get the iPhone contract-free), and how big of a storage.

When buying from Apple, the iPhone could go as low as $199 for a 16GB iPhone 6 with any of the wireless carriers (AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon) and as high as $949 for a contract-free 128GB iPhone 6 Plus.

For wireless carriers in the U.S., customers can choose from four - AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or Sprint. All carriers offer a two-year contract for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 (16GB) for $199 and for the iPhone 6 Plus (16GB), the contract costs $299.

Meanwhile Sprint is offering a so-called "iPhone for Life Plan" where customers can opt to not pay anything up front for the iPhone 6 and instead will be billed monthly for both the unlimited data plan ($50) and the phone itself ($20) - with a new phone guaranteed every two years. The wireless carrier offers the plan as its best value plan compared to its other offerings.
