Julianna Margulies Compares Steven Seagal to Harvey Weinstein
Actress Julianna Margulies recently compared world-renowned action star Steven Seagal to Weinstein Company's Harvey Weinstein, who is currently facing multiple sexual harassment charges from different women. In a recent interview, Margulies shared how Seagal once attempted to seduce her against her will when she was only 23.
According to Margulies, it all started when a casting agent sent her alone to Seagal's apartment at around 10 p.m. to read a scene. When she refused, the casting agent offered to reimburse her cab fare and said that she would also be at Seagal's apartment to accompany the young actress. However, she found out that she was actually set up to be alone with the action star that night.
Margulies recalled how she was welcomed by Seagal that night, who was only wearing a silk kimono and was showing her his gun in an apparent attempt to threaten her. "He made sure that I saw his gun, which I'd never seen a gun in real life," she said.

The actress went on to reveal that Seagal told her he was a healer and that he would like to massage her. However, she refused and decided to leave. Margulies said she was able to leave Seagal's unit without any major incident, but she said the action star's tactics were comparable to Weinstein, who also tried to sexually assault her by asking her to go to his hotel room by herself. She said that when she refused, Weinstein was infuriated and told her she would not get the role she had auditioned for. That happened sometime in 1996.
Margulies is just one of the many Hollywood actresses who recently revealed themselves as victims of Weinstein. Last month, the film producer and CEO of Weinstein Company was fired from his position due to countless allegations of sexual assault and harassment.
Meanwhile, Margulies is not the first actress to claim having been sexually seduced by Seagal. Before her, "Inside Edition" host Lisa Guerrero also claimed that Seagal had invited her to come for a private audition late night in his apartment.
