Justin Bieber on Paternity Suit: 'I’ve Never Met the Woman'

Appearing on “The Today Show” Friday, Justin Bieber has cleared up allegations that he is the father of a three-month-old baby boy.

“I have never met that woman,” Bieber told the camera after being asked about the claims of Mariah Yeater. “None of the allegations are true.”

Yeater claimed that on Oct. 25, 2010 Bieber propositioned her after a concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., after which she became pregnant. The 20-year-old woman is demanding a paternity test as well as child support from the now 17-year-old superstar for her son, Tristyn.

Since the paternity allegations arose earlier this week, the star has taken to his Twitter account denying Yeater’s claims.

On Friday, Bieber thanked "The Today Show" and wrote a special message to his fans: “@todayshow thanks for letting me set the record straight. What is real are my fans… this album… and this charity work. See u guys the 23rd.”

Bieber’s legal team has taken a stand, vehemently denying any involvement Bieber had with Yeater.

“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate, malicious, defamatory AND demonstrably false claims,” said Bieber’s representative speaking to US Weekly.

The team added, “We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”

In her complaint, Yeater wrote: “Immediately, it was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another, and we began to kiss. Shortly thereafter, Justin Bieber suggested that I go with him to a private place where we could be alone. I agreed to go with him and on the walk to a private area, he told me he wanted to make love and this was going to be his first time."

There will be a court hearing Dec. 15 in Los Angeles. Bieber has made several appearances while promoting his new Christmas album, “Under the Mistletoe,” which debuted Monday.
