Lenovo Vibe Shot vs Asus Zenfone 2 Specs, Price Review: Comparison of Features

A host of new phones were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress and CES this year, and though Samsung undoubtedly made the biggest splash with its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, other tech giants such as Lenovo and Asus also drew a lot of interest over their new releases, particularly Lenovo's Vibe Shot and Asus' Zenfone 2.

Both handsets are proof that one does not need to spend a lot to get a good phone with premium specs. With both phones having powerful processors, great cameras, and ridiculously bright and clear screens, the Lenovo Vibe Shot and Asus Zenfone 2 are great value for money.

Here we compare the two phones.

Design:
The Lenovo Vibe Shot is made from two pieces of tempered glass joined by a metal frame. The front of the phone looks like a regular smartphone, but the back resembles a point and shoot camera. It measures 5.59 x 2.77 x 0.29 inches and weighs 5.11 ounces. The handset comes in two colors, Pearl White and Onyx Black.

Meanwhile, the Asus Zenfone 2 has a hard plastic chassis and curved edges. The device measures 6.00 x 3.04 x 0.43 inches and weighs 6 ounces. It comes in a variety of colors which include white, gray, red, black, and gold.

Features:
The Vibe Shot has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of 441ppi. Though it has the same resolution as the Vibe Shot, the Zenfone 2 has a bigger screen at 5.5 inches and pixel density of 403ppi. Both phones' screens are protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Zenfone 2 comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options and can be expanded with a microSD card up to 64GB, while the Vibe Shot comes with 32GB storage out of the box which can be expanded up to 128GB.

The Lenovo phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core chipset, while the Asus device has the Intel Atom quad core processor. Both phones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Vibe Shot has better cameras than the Zenfone 2. The Lenovo handset is equipped with a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, while the Asus phone has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter.

Price:
The Lenovo Vibe Shot will be out in stores by June and is expected to cost $349 off contract, while the Asus Zenfone 2 costs $200.
