Marcos Witt 'Shakira of Christian Music' Commences 'Celebrating 25' Tour

Marcos Witt, singer and pastor of Lakewood Church's Hispanic ministry, commences his “Celebrating 25” Tour, Tuesday in Cartagena, Colombia.

Celebrating 25 is Marcos Witt’s latest production, with which he is celebrating 25 years of ministry work and marriage.

"The celebration of those 25 years is very special, as Marcos wishes to celebrate his 25 years of marriage, 25 years since he recorded his work album, and 25 years of his best songs," said one of the concert's representatives.

The singer Alex Campo, Marcos Witt's friend, is one of the special guests who will perform in a duet with Witt. Another duet scheduled for the event will be Alex and Mike.

Last time Witt was in the city was in 2008 for his Sobrenatural Tour, a concert that gathered around 14,000 people.

One of the concert organizers, Pastor Juan Carlos Angarita, compared the Hispanic singer with Shakira but for the Christian Music; reaching out people from different levels of society with his songs.

On Wednesday, Marcos Witt is expected to hold a conference in the Rivers of Life Church's auditorium in Pie de la Popa.

Marcos Witt is the founder of CanZion Records which manages his career and also serves other Latin Contemporary Christian Music. He is also winner of serveral music awards including Latin Grammy, Gente, Visita Illustre, Ritmo Latino and Billboard for Latin Music.
