2. Portrayal of Joseph Jackson’s firing
While the biopic depicts Michael Jackson’s lawyer, John Branca, firing Joseph Jackson via fax, several media outlets have reported that there is no evidence the firing occurred this way.
As Rolling Stone noted Friday, the fax shown in the film is dated 1981, but the outlet said the artist had fired his father two years earlier after he turned 21.
