Search for the Best Wine Ends in Trouble in Episodes 497, 498 of 'Naruto Shippuden'

There are only a few days left before Naruto and Hinata's grand wedding, which could also mark the end of the long-running anime series "Naruto Shippuden."

The upcoming episode 498 will feature the final mission in the quest to find the perfect wedding gift and will feature Shino and Kiba's search for honey wine, which is said to have once been given by the Senju clans as a wedding present.

in the light novel where this particular arc was based, the idea came from their former teacher, Kurenai, who also said that the honey wine had various nutritional and restorative qualities. The problem was that honey wine had become very rare at present and was not at all sold anywhere in Konoha. This would lead the two of them to Sora-ku, which was a major source of black market goods.

But while the very idea of finding the rare honey wine seemed easy enough, being in a place where black market goods were sold presented a hurdle on Shino and Kiba's path when they realize they could be dealing with an unscrupulous crowd. Will the two of them be able to get honey wine and make it to the wedding on time?

The official trailer for the upcoming episode shows the two men's eagerness to find the best gift for their former teammate Hinata and her would-be husband Naruto. Kiba is especially excited to finally be playing an active role in an episode that mainly features him, Akamaru, and Shino.

In addition to this, Shino, who initially worries about where his life is headed, will finally be able to realize the path that he wants to take after he was told that he would make a good teacher.

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 498 airs on Thursday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo.
