NCC's "Come to the Feast" Conference Set for May

New York, NY – The fourth biennial “Come to the Feast” gathering of the National Council of Churches’ Young Adult Ministry, has been slated for May 26-31, 2004, in Tampa, Fla. More than 300 participants are expected to join the national conference, which will take place at Tampa’s Wyndham Harbour Island Hotel.

During the first half of the gathering, entitled, “Interactive Learning,” Skilled practitioners will share and test approaches to ministry with young adults through an interactive experience. During the second half of the conference, “Community Engagement” additional participants will join the group to share questions, insights, and experiences with young adults.

The participants will spend most of the days in small groups, separated by region and denomination. Each member will be given the chance to organize a meeting in their area of interest.

The NCC’s Ecumenical Young Adult Ministry Team includes both denominational staff persons and young adult constituents from the following communions: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church (USA) Unitarian Universalist Association, United Church of Christ, and the United Methodist Church.
