Netflix Daredevil Season 1 Release Date, Spoilers, Cast News: Series Wraps Up Principal Photography

One of the most anticipated crime-fighting shows that will hit screens next year is "Marvel's Daredevil." Recent news indicated that production for its first season is already wrapped up and is now moving forward to finish its post-production in time for a 2015 kick-off.

Announcing the development was "Daredevil" showrunner Steven DeKnight, who recently took to his social media to say "Thanks to the cast and crew for an amazing experience directing the season finale of #Daredevil. Goodby, NYC. Peace and love!"

"Marvel's Daredevil" will see the acts of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsely (also known as The Owl), ComingSoon.net reported.

Also joining the cast list are Rosario Dawson who will play as Claire Temple, Vondie Curis Hall as Ben Urich, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, and Toby Leonard Moore as Fisk's right hand man, Wesley.

"Daredevil" is under the production of Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

The show, which is slated to kick off its pilot episode in 2015, will follow the journey of Matt Murdock.

Murdock was blinded in his young age after a tragic accident. But this unfortunate event leads him to acquire extraordinary abilities related to the other senses.

Murdock is by day a criminal lawyer and by night he suits up as the superhero known all throughout Hell's Kitchen, New York City – the Daredevil.
