Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder News: Co-Stars Slam Feuding Rumors With Instagram Posts

Feuding rumors involving Nina Dobrev and Nikki Reed have been circulating for a while now, claiming that tensions are high because of Dobrev's return to "The Vampire Diaries." However, both actresses, as well as Dobrev's ex-beau and Reed's husband, Ian Somerhalder, have taken to social media to slam the rumors.

"The Vampire Diaries" fans know that Somerhalder and Dobrev met on the set of The CW series and subsequently dated for a few years. Their relationship ended, though, and so did Dobrev's time on the show. After starring in the series as Elena Gilbert since the show's conception, the actress chose to depart after season 6. Now, Dobrev will be back for the final episode of season 8, which is also the series finale.

Somerhalder moved on and married Reed in 2015. Dobrev's imminent return then sparked rumors that Reed was becoming a jealous wife, even going so far as to warn her husband to avoid his ex. However, there does not seem to be any truth to these allegations. According to Gossip Cop, Reed and Dobrev are not feuding at all.

In fact, Dobrev even took to her Instagram account to post a photo of her posing with Reed and Somerhalder, effectively putting the rumors to rest. Based on her caption, she joined the happy couple for a farewell dinner. It is clear from their facial expressions that there is no bad blood among them.

Both Reed and Somerhalder then took to their Instagram pages to share similar photos of the three of them. In the snap, Reed has one arm around Dobrev as they smiled alongside Somerhalder.

"For the last few years we thought addressing any baseless rumors with silence was the best way," Reed wrote in the caption. "I now see that silence was taken as an opportunity to fill in the blanks with even more falsities, and juicer stories."

On the other hand, Somerhalder pointed out that there is "only love here- always has been always will be."
