OnePlus Two Release Date, Specs News, Details: Flagship Killer Said to Arrive With Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Processor

The sequel to 2014's OnePlus One from China is rumoured to be called as OnePlus Two and that will most likely arrive with a high-end processor.

A report from Phone Arena cited GizChina revealing that OnePlus CEO and co-founder, Pete Lau, had been busy giving updates about the company's plan on their upcoming flagship to fans over Weibo – a popular Chinese social networking site.

As noted by the publication, the purported OnePlus Two will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor which could make the device sell at 2,499.99 Yuan, or USD 400.

The price, as Lau explained, sounds "reasonable" enough.

Phone Arena is quick to point out the company's reported choice of processor for the smartphone's forthcoming reiteration saying that the SoC has earned quite a lot of controversies claiming that the it "tends to overheat and throttle a bit too much."

Given the fact that the next instalment still has a few months to go out in public, OnePlus, the site added, could better be off waiting for Qualcomm's next offering.

Other details about the rumoured handset indicated that it will have a 5.5-inch or 6-inch display with 2K resolution (2560 x 1440) and with a 2.5D curved glass display.

It is also said to arrive with a hefty 3GB of RAM and an embedded fingerprint reader touted to be "better than Apple's Touch ID."

As of its availability, the Two is speculated to launch in the third quarter of this year.
