"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 News: What Will Happen To Alex and Piper, Will Ruby Rose Return?
Netflix's breakout series "Orange is the New Black" will not be seen on screen for its fourth season run until next year, so fans of the series have been clamoring for more details about what Season 4 will bring to their favorite inmates at Litchfield Prison. According to a report in Movie Pilot, fans have made it known who among the inmates they would like to see again in the coming season.
With Laura Prepon herself confirming that her character Alex Vause is still alive despite the previous season's attempt on her life, some fans have been speculating on how her relationship with Piper is, given that she survived. Prepon said this about how this event will affect her character: "I don't think you're going to see a more timid side of Alex. If anything, she's justified in her paranoia. That empowers her, in my opinion."
In terms of Alex's relationship with Piper, Taylor Schilling (who plays Piper) also told TV Guide in an interview that Alex and Piper's bond is real, saying "When that bond is real and that kind of connection happens, it never just gets severed. ... I don't know if Piper can [be on her own]." Prepon also hinted during the same interview that "Alex and Piper will always have a connection, and I definitely think that if Alex needed her or she needed Alex, they would be there for each other completely."

Another fan favorite from the previous season is actress Ruby Rose who played a very compelling character Stella. Fans are also hoping that she will return in the coming season despite her being sent to maximum security through the manipulations of Piper in season 3. The Movie Pilot report however speculated that Stella may still find a way to come back, especially if she ends up befriending Nicky, another Litchfield inmate who is also in maximum security. This may be a possible plot twist that the show's writers may consider, according to the report.
The same report also shot down earlier rumors that Caitlyn Jenner will be making an appearance in season 4.
