People Magazine Defends Featuring Kim Kardashian Alone on Wedding Cover

People Magazine is gathering scrutiny for the cover of their new issue that features Kim Kardashian standing alone in one of her three famous wedding gowns.

The scrutiny is coming from the fact that another important piece of the Kardashian wedding puzzle is missing, notably her new husband Kris Humphries.

Access Hollywood Live asked an editor for the magazine on Wednesday morning why Kim was the only person to grace the cover of People for the exclusive story on the Kardashian-Humphries wedding.

One of the magazine's editors, Jen Garcia replied, “It’s all about the bride.”

She continued to defend the magazine’s position saying, “We sorted through thousands of pictures.”

But added in the end, “It’s all about the bride. We wanted her. It’s her day, we wanted her on the cover.”

The magazine reportedly paid the couple $1.5 million for exclusive licensing fees and has 11 pages worth of material in the new issue that delves into all the details of the lavish wedding including the guests, the food, the presents, and the ambiance of the event.

Inside, Kim told the magazine that she felt like a “princess.”

She added, “It was like we were in heaven.”

Regardless of reports surfacing that the family of Humphries was “appalled” by the event, Kris echoed Kim's sentiments and told People, “I’m going to remember how perfect it was.”

The lavish wedding was held in Montecito, California and included 450 of the couples closest family and friends.

Kim wore three separate Vera Wang gowns throughout the evening, but unfortunately the party was cut short due to noise complaints.

The couple have now taken off on a “mini-honeymoon” to Europe and plan to be back in New York shortly for another celebratory party, and also so that Kim can start shooting her reality series with E!
