'Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon' Gameplay News: Old Foe Returns

The original villains of the series, Team Rocket, are making a comeback in "Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon"

According to IGN, the role-playing video games will see the return of a number of enemies that had been defeated in previous games, including Team Rocket's Giovanni from "Pokemon Red and Blue," to form the biggest villain team ever, Team Rainbow Rocket.

It is said to be a modern revival of the old criminal group, where Giovanni will challenge the player's character with Mewtwo, a Pokemon first seen in the animated series about two decades ago.

Although it is still uncertain what his business in the Alola Region is, it is clearly not good.

Meanwhile, the latest video teaserreveals that he is not the only villain returning to the game. Villains from the past 20 years of the "Pokemon" franchise will be appearing in "Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon" including those from "Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire" "Pokemon X and Y," and many more versions.

Giovanni's new criminal organization will include big bosses of other syndicates, such as Team Magma, Team Aqua, Team Galactic, and Team Flare. It looks like players will be looking forward to epic battles against these villains.

The video also confirms that all of the Legendary Pokémon from previous generations will be coming to "Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon" including Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and the Legendary duo Ho-Oh and Lugia, as well as newer ones like Yveltal and Xerneas.

Additionally, there will be Totem Stickers hidden throughout the Alola Region, which will be collected by the players. By doing so, players will get to chance to acquire Totem-sized Pokemon.

"Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon" is set for a worldwide launch on Nov. 17. The pair of games will be available on the Nintendo 3DS console.
