Quadruplets in Utah Get Security, Protected From 'Overzealous' Stalker
Utah has four new residents, and those residents may already have a stalker.
The quadruplets, born Saturday to Natalie and Anthony Consolo, remain under intense security after a woman has repeatedly attempted to gain access to them. Reports state that an "overzealous" woman in her mid-60s has given hospital administrators at least four different names in order to see the infants.
There is no word on whether the woman has been arrested for harassing the family; Anthony Consolo told reporters that she had been calling them and trying to make contact as late as Friday, before moving to the hospital. Natalie has been in the Intermountain Medical Center in Utah for several weeks in order to ensure safe delivery of the quads.
Anthony Consolo told reporters that the quadruplets were conceived naturally, without any assistance. He described their birth on Saturday as "amazing. It was a wonderful life experienced," he told the Deseret News.
Natalie's mother, Linda Edmonson, previously told the Salt Lake Tribune that her daughter "just laughed [and] thought it was a joke" when learning she was having four babies, not one. "They wanted to have a nice-sized family. They didn't plan on it being so quickly," she joked.
The only boy, Daniel, was born first and followed by his three sisters: Annabelle, Charlotte, and Lucille. They entered the world via Cesarean section and are reportedly doing well. Mom Natalie is still recovering and not up to interviews just yet, but Anthony told the press: "They're so cute and they're doing great! They're healthy. There's nothing wrong with them."
There have been four sets of quadruplets born in Utah in the past five years, according to The Associated Press. In January, a German woman gave birth to a very rare set of identical quadruplets.
The Consolo family has said they will release photos soon.
