Samsung Galaxy S7 New Leaks Reveal Release Date & Specs Details

With so many reports about the Samsung Galaxy S7 surfacing left and right, it's evident that fans are looking forward to meeting the Galaxy S6 successor. And they just got lucky as Express reported that a "staggering leak" from Samsung is believed to contain essential details of the upcoming device.

According to the leak by Chinese mobile provider, China Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is scheduled to be released early next year. An image from an internal Samsung presentation was passed around the internet and it showed the carrier's roadmap for the coming months. Included in the details is the release date of Samsung's next flagship smartphone which is sometime in March 2016.

If the rumor is true, this confirms the news about a February launch event just before or during the Mobile World Congress 2016, according to Stuff. The site noted that the MWC 2016 will be held on Feb. 22, which explains why the device will be coming as early as March.

The price of the device is also revealed to be lower than expected. In China, the Galaxy S7 is said to be priced at around 3,000 yuan (£310). This makes the flagship device the cheapest of the Samsung premium line to date.

The Galaxy S7 is also rumored to have an S7 Edge variant. Both versions are assumed to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor and having 4 GB of RAM. An upgraded camera, 3D Touch-like pressure-sensitive screens and longer-lasting battery are also expected.

Fans who are hoping that the microSD slot will return will have to wait and see as there are still no details regarding it. However, G for Games reported that it will have a magnesium chassis, 32-bit Stereo D/A converter from ESS Technology and an improved version of the TouchWiz.

Moreover, until official announcements are made by the South Korean tech giant itself, it's best to take the information released with a grain of salt. In the end, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come.
