Skillet Signs onto Mainstream with Lava Records
Skillet has recently signed with Lava Records, an imprint under Atlantic Records. However, the hard rock band's Christian label home, Ardent Records, will continue to handle the distribution of Skillet's music to Christian retailers.
"Savior," Skillet's first single, will release to mainstream rock radio in February. The single has spent time at #1 for R&R's Christian Rock Chart and climbed up to #14 at CHR Radio.
Started in 1996, the band recently reinvented their musical face to focus on more hard rock, debuting the change in the 2003 November release, Collide. In March, the band will co-headline the "See Spot Rock" tour with 12 Stones, from March 01, 2004 to May 31, 2004.
