'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 2 News: Stopping a Missile Crisis

One of the most successful spin-offs from the "NCIS" franchise, Season 1 of "NCIS: New Orleans" raked in solid ratings for a new show. Since the creators of the "NCIS" franchise believe in taking their viewers on a roller-coaster ride, it is guaranteed that Season 2 of "NCIS: New Orleans" is going to be more thrilling than Season 1.

"NCIS: New Orleans" is a military procedural crime drama set in the beautiful city of New Orleans and its prime directive is to fend off military-related threats to the city. Season 1 of the show had NCIS Special Agent Dwayne "King" Pride, played by Scott Bakula, and his team get embroiled in a fast-paced thrilling ride to save New Orleans from a West African terrorist whose aim was to destroy the city's port. Helping them in this adventure were an ex-ATF Agent Sonja Percy, played by Shalita Grant, and investigative computer specialist Patton Plame, played by Daryl Mitchell.

The good news is that according to Deadline, the two actors have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming season. Sonja Percy tells Agent Pride that she wants to join the NCIS team. But it is not clear if she will be an NCIS officer or agent.

The first episode of the second season, which, according to Spoiler TV, is entitled "Sic Semper Tyrannis, will have the Broussard Crime Family causing trouble in New Orleans. A missile is stolen for terrorist purposes and the team of "NCIS: New Orleans" go undercover on a dangerous mission to protect the city.

The new characters, Plame and Percy, will join Special Agent Pride and Agents Brody and LaSalle to fight off all the military-involved threats to the city of New Orleans. With Dr. Loretta Wade and her assistant Sebastian Lund in the lab to support them and whom the NCIS team will turn to in case they need any help to solve puzzles, they protect New Orleans and its citizens.

"NCIS: New Orleans" premieres September 22, 2015, 9 PM on CBS.
