Super Smash Bros 4 Stages Shrunken Down Into Trophies for New Game

Masahiro Sakurai's latest pic of the day reveals a new trophy from Super Smash Bros 4 that is actually a shrunken down version of a level from the game.

He used the caption to explain this decision. See it here.

"Some stages have been shrunk down and made into trophies, like this one of Tortimer Island for the 3DS version," he said. "I wish I could have a figurine like this in real life."

Yesterday's picture featured multiple characters fighting in a stage that was transformed by Kamek.

"When Kamek casts a spell, the stage transforms drastically! That said, This is not what you would call a moving stage.. .. By the way, this stage will be playable in the demo version of he game for E3, a game expo that starts on June 10 in Los Angeles," said Sakurai.

The new Smash Bros. games will launch for both the Wii U and 3DS later this year.

Nintendo confirmed to IGN last month that the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros will launch sometime in the summer this year. Wii U fans will have to wait until the winter to get their hands on this epic fighting title.

Sakurai discussed how multiplayer will work in the game with IGN. He stated that players can play online with friends and can also engage in a handful of different multiplayer modes. There will be two distinct forms for multiplayer including "For Fun" and "For Glory."

For Fun only records players wins, and pits opponents against each other in random stages that include all items. For Glory levels the playing field by removing items and setting every match on a Final Destination version of certain levels. Wins and Losses will be tracked in For Glory.
