'Supernatural' Season 12 Episode 17: Preview Teases Winchesters and Mick at Odds Over Lucifer's Spawn

The British Men of Letters have had their eyes on the Winchesters' hunting ways, and they don't like what they see. After failing to get the brothers to assimilate to their methods, they have now decided to take Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) down by sending one of their trusted agents to do the dirty deed in the next episode of "Supernatural."

The official trailer for the upcoming episode titled "The British Invasion" sees the Winchesters' new hunting buddy, Mick (Adam Fergus), being ordered to eliminate the brothers for good. This order may have been triggered by Dean and Sam's latest success in curing Claire (Kathryn Newton) of lycanthropy.

The British believe that a monster is a monster and it needs to be taken down ASAP. The Winchesters, however, would like to hold on to their belief that some monsters are good, which they would be able to back up with the years they've spent in the field, encountering all sorts of good and bad creatures. Can Mick possibly change their stubborn minds, or will it be the other way around?

The official synopsis for the episode also teases that Dean and Sam will finally get a lead on Lucifer's baby mama, Kelly (Courtney Ford), and will continue their hunt for the would-be mother of Lucifer's evil spawn. However, this may just be the excuse Mick needs to stay close and keep tabs on the Winchesters' actions, perhaps in a last-ditch attempt to get them on the British way.

Dean, Sam and Mick will definitely be encountering the numerous demons guarding Lucifer's unborn child. But when it finally comes down to it, will the Winchesters be able to eliminate one of the biggest threats that humanity will have to face? Or will Mick have his way and do it himself?

"Supernatural" season 12 episode 17 airs on Thursday, April 6 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
