'Taken' Season 1: Series Takes Fans Through Intense Final 3 Episodes of First Season

With only three episodes left in the first season of "Taken," things are definitely going to get more challenging for series protagonist Bryan Mills (Clive Standen). Will he survive the continuing threat of Carlos Mejia (Romano Orzari) and his associates?

In the upcoming eighth episode titled "Leah," Bryan and the rest of the ODNI's mission takes them to assist an Israeli spy that happens to have early onset Alzheimer's. And as if this isn't bad enough, the spy's own agency is now out to kill her for reasons that were not disclosed in the official synopsis for the episode.

On the other hand, the said spy's plight gives Christina (Jennifer Beals) cause to worry that she may soon face the same fate within her own organization. Meanwhile, Bryan's distrust of his partner Asha (Brooklyn Sudano) will lead to a painful argument that may just end things between them for good.

In the subsequent ninth episode titled "Gone," the ODNI will be forced to hand over Mejia to the FBI. Things get complicated when they catch wind of the cartel's plans of hijacking the transfer in order to retrieve Mejia. John (Gaius Charles) and Rem (James Landry Hébert) will be working to stall the transfer, while Bryan chooses to take extreme measures in order to keep Mejia in their custody.

On the other hand, Asha will finally learn the true identity of her so-called friend Elena (Layla Alizada), which may lead to some dire consequences.

Finally, in the 10th and final episode of the season, the FBI will be threatening to remove Christina from command, perhaps as a result of their efforts in keeping Mejia in their custody. This will force Bryan and John to lead a rogue mission to stop Mejia and his associates from crossing the border. The ODNI will be risking everything they have for said mission, with no one to back them up.

"Taken" airs every Monday at 10:01 p.m. EDT on NBC.
