A new speedster is set to hit the streets of Central City. According to TVLine, actress Allison Paige, best known for her role as Bev Walters in the long-running NBC soap "Days of Our Lives," has been cast in the role of Eliza Harmon, also known as Trajectory, the first female speedster in The CW's popular DC Comics-based series.
Trajectory is set to appear in Episode 16 of the current season as a girl with a "mad desire for speed and destruction" who will arrive in Central City "intent on creating maximum chaos." The results of her actions will be mistaken as those of the Flash himself (Grant Gustin) and the superhero must then work to unveil the mystery of Trajectory/Eliza Harmon and find out what her motives are.
Apart from "Days of Our Lives," Paige's credits also include the TV series "Younger," the 2016 film "The Grounds," and the web series "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries."
Meanwhile, the sneak peek for next week's episode of "The Flash" shows Barry Allen/The Flash and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) finding themselves in a sticky situation as they face a new metahuman called Tar Pit (Marco Grazzini), who "basically drown[s] people in tar."
Wally's (Keiynan Lonsdale) drag racing secret will be discovered by Iris (Candice Patton), who then asks him to give up his risky hobby. When Wally refuses, Iris tries to stop him, putting herself in jeopardy. The short clip shows The Flash attempting to save Iris from a huge shard of glass flying towards her and failing. The superhero catches Iris, but not before the shard stabs her in the chest. "I wasn't fast enough," Barry is heard saying.
The next episode of "The Flash," titled "Fast Lane," marks the speedster's first face-to-face encounter with Wally.
"The Flash" Season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
