'The Sims 4' News, Update: A New World Coming to Players Next Week
EA recently announced that it is bringing some new content to its popular life simulation video game "The Sims 4" next week.
The official press release from Maxis said that "a new world" will be coming over to the game this Thursday, June 11 and that it will be available to download for free to all owners of the title.
The new map will be called Newcrest and it will give players a new space to work with. Upon integration to the vanilla game, Simmers can start building right away.
"We know that many of you wanted more room to expand, but didn't have the heart to evict the likes of Bella Goth, Malcolm Landgraab, and Bob Pancakes. We can't blame you – who would want to live in a world without the Goths? That's why we made Newcrest a clean slate. It'll contain three new neighborhoods, each with five empty lots," the press statement reads.
Neighborhood 1 will have areas with the following dimensions:
• 50x40
• 40x30
• 40x30
• 30x30
• 30x20
Neighborhood 2, meanwhile, has these lot area measurements:
• 30x20
• 30x20
• 40x30
• 20x15
• 20x15
And Neighborhood 3 as well:
• 30x20
• 30x20
• 30x20
• 40x30
• 40x20
Gamers can download any structures from the Gallery or build their own like houses, bars, parks, pools, clubs, among many others, to proliferate the new map.
"The Sims 4" was released in North America on September 2, 2014 for PC. Later in February 17 of this year, a digital download version of the game was made available for Mac users.
