Thousands Rally in Support of Constitutional Amendment in Minnesota

Thousands of supporters of a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage gathered at St. Paul, the Capitol of Minnesota, in what observers called “one of the largest Capitol rallies in memory,” Monday, March 22, 2004. The supporters heard speeches from pro-family legislatures, and were encouraged to return again on Wednesday when the House is expected to pass the bill.
