Trump's week in review: Stops gain-of-function research, opens 'MyGender' dolls investigation

1. Trump pays tribute to Lindsey Graham
A funeral for the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. Trump was among several who eulogized the late senator, remembering him as a “giant of the United States Senate,” “a tough cookie” and “a true American original who left us much too soon.”
The president said he was “blessed" to know Graham and declared that “I will miss him.”
“Our nation needs more men and women like him," Trump added.
“For 71 years, Lindsey Graham was strong and steadfast as a brother, a senator, a warrior and a patriot; he withstood every last test. Every single test that you can go through,” Trump said. “And now he wears the crown of life in Heaven, reunited with his parents and reunited with his Lord.”
Trump also quoted from Scripture as he eulogized Graham, citing the passage James 1:12, which states, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
Graham died suddenly earlier this month at the age of 71. While Graham and Trump were bitter rivals as the two sought the Republican nomination for president in 2016, the two later became political allies.
