'Vikings' Season 4 News, Spoilers: Showdown Between Rollo and Ragnar Coming, Will Bjorn Find Love?

The final moments of the last season on History Channel's hit historical drama series "Vikings" saw King Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) sailing away from Paris in a life and death situation.

Although a lot of fans feared that he might not make it for another raid, recent reports indicated that the Northman will be back to redeem himself and to punish his brother Rollo (Clive Standed) for the betrayal he'd done in the upcoming series instalment.

For those who missed it, it appears that Rollo will take the offer of the French King to fight under his banner against Ragnar in exchange for the riches and the hand of his daughter.

"[Rollo] is going to say to some important Frankish people, 'It's not just going to be a Viking army coming up the Seine towards us. It's going to be Ragnar Lothbrok,' and even though we end season three with Ragnar hovering between life and death, one should never underestimate Ragnar Lothbrok," series creator Michael Hirst told Variety.

Its safe to assume that the brave king of Denmark will once again sack Paris and scale its fabled impenetrable walls, this time with the help of his son Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and the rest of the Viking warriors loyal to him.

Speaking of Bjorn, rumors also indicated that Ragnars first-born could be getting a new love interest.

A report from Enstars pointed out the arrival of "Once Upon a Time" star Dianne Doan who will be introduced as a Chinese traveller named Yidu. Aside from probably giving Ragnar yet another reason to feed his wanderlust, this time heading East, Doan's character may "also pique Bjorn's interests."

Until Hirst or any member of the cast confirms such story line, such reports should be taken as mere speculations.

"Vikings" Season 4 is slated to premiere to the History Channel in 2016.
