It's the quarters of the UEFA Europa League
In the first leg of their quarter-final matchups, Villarreal will host Sparta Prague at Camp El Madrigal in the UEFA Europa League.
This matchup is on April 7, 2016 at 3:05 PM ET.
Both teams have done extremely well so far in the competition as they are now only a few wins away from possibly lifting the coveted title at the end of the season.
However, fate has now placed them against each other and the Czech Republic outfit will try to pull a big upset over a Spanish squad.
Sparta Prague has been impressive so far in the competition, and possibly the highlight of their European run so far has been their previous round where they eliminated Lazio in a two-legged affair.
When they played against Lazio at home, they opened up with an early goal, thanks to Martin Frydek.
Unfortunately, they surrendered a goal in the 38th minute which gave Lazio a slim advantage with a crucial away goal heading into the second leg.
However, Sparta Prague kept their composure on the away leg and scored another early goal to turn the tide to their favor.
They would eventually score two more goals to eliminate Lazio and are now hoping that the momentum will help them get over another big opponent in Villarreal.
The same can be said for Villarreal as they were given the task to battle Bayer Leverkusen in the previous round.
Playing the first leg at home, the Spanish club opened the first leg with a win after stopping the German club from scoring an away goal in the process.
This will prove to be vital as they kept the pressure on Bayer in the second leg to settle for a goalless draw to help them advance on to a 2-0 aggregate win.
