According to a biography on Ramaswamy’s archived personal webpage, which has since transformed into his campaign website, the presidential candidate “graduated summa cum laude in biology from Harvard in 2007 and began his career as a biotech investor at a prominent hedge fund. Ramaswamy continued to work as an investor while earning his law degree at Yale, where he was a recipient of the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship For New Americans.”

Ramaswamy’s business experience includes the creation of Roivant Sciences in 2014. The company’s website describes its goal as “developing and delivering medicines to patients more efficiently.” It has created more than 20 portfolio companies, which it refers to as vants. The vants have conducted “9 Phase 3 trials (the last 8 of which have been successful), and launched VTAMA ®, (tapinarof) cream, 1%, for the topical treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults.”

In 2022, Ramaswamy launched Strive Asset Management, characterized by his campaign website as “an Ohio-based asset management firm that directly competes with asset managers like BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard and others” that use “the money of everyday citizens to advance environmental and social agendas that many citizens and capital owners disagree with.”
