Walking Dead Season 8 Release Date, Spoilers: Episode 1 Premiere Scheduled for October 2017

The Walking Dead Season 8 has already been scheduled with a release date of October 2017, so fans of the hit AMC show will have a solid six months to wait until they can find out what happens next following The Walking Dead's dramatic Season 7 finale, which took place Sunday April 2.

Already there are plenty of hints out there about the cast for the new season, and plot spoilers have already started circulating about what will happen in Season 8 of the AMC horror show.

It has been widely reported that Negan will be returning to torment others in the show in Season 8. Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan recently spoke on The Howard Stern Show and confirmed his return for fans, saying simply: "I know I will be on board for Season 8."

That isn't exactly earth shattering news though, as devout fans of Robert Kirkman's comics know that Negan features in the storyline for more than 50 comics. Unless the Walking Dead show runner Scott Gimple plans to hugely divert from the comic's plot line then we can probably expect Negan to be around for some time yet.

The Walking Dead Season 8 was already confirmed way back even before Season 7 premiered. We also already know that fans can expect another 16 episodes through Season 8 when it arrives in October 2017.

Until then, fans of the hit AMC show will have to wait eagerly to see what happens next, and no doubt plot rumors and spoilers will be doing the rounds non-stop over the coming six months until Season 8 lands.
