Microsoft launched its Xbox One Backward Compatibility last month. It began rolling out Xbox 360 games for the Xbox One on Nov. 12.

Xbox One Backward Compatibility allows Xbox One owners to play Xbox 360 games on their current-generation console with all progress and achievements already carried over. When it first released, Microsoft provided players with 104 titles. The feature also allows Xbox One gamers to take screenshots, record, stream, and play with their friends who are still on the Xbox 360.

Since the first batch of games was released, Microsoft notes Xbox One players have logged in more than 9 million hours playing Xbox 360 games on their consoles. Popular games include "Assassin's Creed II," "Fallout 3," "Gears of War 3," and "DiRT 3."

All these new 16 games will be available through Games with Gold.
