Remember when sending birthday greetings meant more than clicking on someone's name on Facebook and typing "Happy Birthday!" into a little box? Jim Gagnon does. Though he's long retired from his career as a salesman, the 87-year-old Toledo resident still has a knack for giving people what they need, even if they don't realize they need it.
Over the years, Gagnon collected the birthdays and phone numbers of thousands he'd met, from friends to chance encounters. Every day, he sifts through his friends list (on paper!) to wish each one a Happy Birthday over the phone.
