After a grueling regular season and an even more brutal playoffs, it had to come down to this afterall--- the two best teams at the top of the standings in their respective conferences will figure in a title series for the right to claim the 2016 NBA championship.
This finals re-match is certainly going to be one for the record books. It's a sporting treat not just for both of the homecrowds in Ohio and the Bay Area, but for the basketball fans in general. And, while there is no need for some hype to make the series any more enticing, here are some of the thing you might want to watch out for.

It's interesting to see who will be able to complete their own storyline with a perfect ending. Can the Cleveland Cavaliers exact revenge from their defeat at last year's NBA finals, or can the Golden State Warriors cap off their historic and record-breaking 73-9 regular season run with a back-to-back championship?
LeBron James vs. Steph Curry
These two competitors are truly a cut above the rest from their peers right now. The King Warrior was just fresh from bagging his second consecutive Most Valuable Player award, while King James has proven time and again his stature in the league having been in the finals for the last six NBA seasons.
But, the individual accolades will not be as sweet without sharing the glory with their teammates. And, there is no better way to prove supremacy than to win the championship. Anyhow, their respective performances in this year's finals will truly be worth watching.
Another Shot for the Cavs
For the Cavaliers, there certainly is an unfinished business on their part. The team will get another shot at the title, and this time as a complete team, barring another injury incident on one of their superstars. Last year, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were down because of injuries and significantly affecting the chances of their team to vie for the title.
"Organization-wise, it's the same two teams, but playing-wise and players-wise, we're a different team. Kevin [Love] and Kyrie [Irving] are both healthy, the addition of Channing Frye, we're a completely different team than we were last year," said Coach Tyronn Lue of the Cavs.
The Big Three vs. The Splash Brothers
While they are getting enough support from their respective benches, much of the load will be resting on the shoulders of the teams' big-time players like James, Irving, Love, Curry, and Klay Thompson. Their matchups will surely be an interesting sideshow.
The Better Shooting Team
It will certainly be fun to watch the two teams shoot the lights out at the Oracle and Quicken Loans Arena. Cleveland has been shooting the ball very well in the postseason, thanks largely to Frye. But, can they keep up with the best shooting backcourt in NBA today?
