2K Sports Announces 'WWE 2K16' Expansion Pack Schedule (VIDEO)

2K Sports has recently confirmed its DLC schedule and new characters for its upcoming "WWE 2K16."

Professional wrestling video game "WWE 2K16," 2K Sports' 17th title in its "WWE Games" series, is due to launch in less than three weeks and the Novato, California-based publisher has announced its extensive expansion pack schedule from late 2015 up to early 2016, featuring a host of new characters.

Adding to the game's over 120-character roster, the six upcoming DLCs are expected to go through the Hall of Famers, including Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to add more fighters to the main game.

Players should also expect the expansion packs to bring in some of the many classic showdowns enjoyed throughout the history of the WWE.

While the post-launch content can each be purchased individually, they are also available in a single pack when players purchase the game's Season Pass for $24.99.

The "Accelerator" DLC, which is scheduled for launch sometime before the holidays, will give players instant access to all of the game's unlockable content for $1.99. "MyPlayer KickStart," which will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles at $9.99, gives players extra bonuses when they customize their Superstars.

The "Legends Pack," at $8.99, will give players access to WWE Legends Trish Stratus, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Mr. Perfect, Lita, Dusty Rhodes, and Big Boss Man, all of whom are playable. The "2015 Hall of Famer Showcase" at $9.99, opens up a variety of playable matches, including Rikishi vs. The Rock, and Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

The "New Moves Pack" which costs $3.99, will showcase a total of more than 30 new moves, such as Avalanche Ram, Dragon Sleeper, Sidewinder Suplex, and Standing Crossface Chickenwing. "The Future Stars Pack" at $7.99, will open up NXT superstars for playing, including Blake and Murphy, Fernando, Diego, and Samoa Joe.

The Digital Deluxe Editions of "WWE 2K16" is available for preorder via Xbox Live and PSN, with the PS3 digital deluxe edition selling for $79.99, while the PS4 and Xbox One digital deluxe editions are set to cost $89.99. The packages for the PlayStation consoles will include a theme for PS3 and a theme for PS4. The PS4 and Xbox One will also include MyPlayer Kickstart. A copy of WWE 2K16 and a WWE 2K16 Season Pass are included in the three digital deluxe edition packages.

"WWE 2K16" is expected to launch on October 27 in North America and on October 30 in Europe.
