Amazon Kindle Fire Available for Just $139

Consumers looking for a great deal on a tablet can pick up the Amazon Kindle Fire refurbished for just $139 on Amazon.com.

This is an amazing deal for this popular tablet that is normally priced at $199.99 brand new. It also comes with free shipping and a one year warranty.

The Amazon Kindle Fire trail blazed its way into the tablet industry at the end of last year and quickly solidified its status as the iPad's first real competitor. The tablets flew off of the shelves during the 2011 Christmas shopping season, quickly becoming one of the holiday's hottest items.

The 7-inch Android powered tablet comes with 8GB of internal memory along with a dual-core processor, the Amazon Silk browser, and a battery that can last up to 8 hours.

The Kindle Fire also grants its owner instant access to the Android marketplace and links them with the company's collection of digital music, video, magazine and book services in one easy-to-use package.

However, with its low price also comes some sacrifice. The Kindle Fire has no connection to 3G or 4G, does not feature a camera, microphone or GPS, and does not provide an expansion slot for extra memory.

"Though it lacks the tech specs found on more-expensive Apple and Android tablets, the $199 Kindle Fire is an outstanding entertainment value that prizes simplicity over techno-wizardry," wrote CNET.

So even though the new iPad completely outshines the Kindle Fire in terms of specs, it still has created a market for itself by giving consumers what they need at roughly one fourth of the price.

Other great deals available on some hot devices include MacConnection offering the Airport Extreme Base Station ($30 off) for $149. Best Buy is selling the refurbished version for just $99.

Cowboom is offering the iPhone 4 used off contract for $235.

And the iTunes Tuneup bundle has dropped down to just $30.
