Angelina Jolie at Golden Globes With Jessica Biel

The Golden Globes aired Sunday night and while most watched to see which stars would be awarded, others were more interested in what the stars were wearing when they arrived. At the top of that list of interest was Angelina Jolie.

The actress attended the event with Brad Pitt, who was nominated for Best Actor in the film "Moneyball.” The actor however, lost to George Clooney in “The Descendents,” who attended the event with girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

Although Jolie was not nominated, her film “Land of Blood and Honey” was a nominee in the Foreign Language Film category. What was most striking about Jolie at the event however was not an award but rather the all white satin one-shoulder Atelier Versace gown she wore, highlighted with a red collar and bright red lips.

“She looked amazing,” Bruno Schiavi, celebrity designer, said in a statement to Newsoxy. “The top of the dress was very structured - I bet it had some corsetry inside - with a small train at the bottom that was not too over done.”

Jolie went on stage to present the award Best Director for Motion Picture, to Martin Scorsese for Hugo. Others who turned heads were Natalie Portman, returning from last year when she arrived in a dress elegantly covering her baby bump. Last night she wore a bright pink dress, reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.”

Madonna and Jessica Biel had a wardrobe slip up, before they entered the awards, when Madonna accidentally stepped on Biel’s dress. Biel laughed off the incident. Madonna wore a silver and green gown by Reem Acra with a fitted bodice.

Zooey Deschanel wore a sequined sparkly green and black gown by Prada along with a Prada clutch and black satin pumps. The dress had a slight 60’s style to it.

Sofia Vergara wore a navy blue strapless Vera Wang gown and Salma Hayek work a form fitting Gucci dress, with a shiny black bottom and colored top.

The 2012 Golden Globes were hosted by Ricky Gervais for the third straight time.
